SAN Admin Lie Detector Test Video
In the beginning, when we first started working with SQL Server, our servers had a few drive bays built in. Over time, as we needed more and more storage, we had to transition to Storage Area Networks (SANs). SANs are independent, flexible, well-protected, and blazing fast – at least in theory. In reality, most of us see our SAN as a black box; we put data in, we get data out, and we’re not quite sure what’s going on inside.
In this ten-minute video, Microsoft Certified Master Brent Ozar introduces you to your new best friend: your SAN vendor’s documentation team. He explains where your SAN vendor is hiding the good stuff.

Hi Brent,
I really like your presentation on “SAN Admin Lie Detector Test” video as I am fighting the same battle. I did backup to nul on 150GB database and it showed 188MB/sec while HBA showed Tx=25.
Just wondering whether you have this full video to be purchased online?
Regards,
Tuan

Tuan – thanks, glad you liked the video! But no, the presentation is only for SQLCruise attendees. Sorry!
