It’s a pleasure to announce that we will once again bring Business Intelligence to the Caribbean High Seas in 2014 when Microsoft Business Intelligence pioneer and SQL Server MVP, Stacia Misner, returns to SQL Cruise.

Join Stacia as she introduces the attendees to Power BI, Microsoft’s self-service Business Intelligence offering for SQL Server, Excel, and Office 365.  Stacia first joined us on SQL Cruise 2013 Alaska and her classroom instruction combined with the one-on-one and group discussion sessions left us all wanting more.  She’s returning now to pick up where she left off in discussing this exciting evolution in Microsoft’s BI stack.  It’s not just valuable for Business Intelligence Analysts either – as a Database Administrator I have started using Power BI to crunch the metadata I collect about my SQL Server instances to provide myself, my team, and Management with a better understanding of the fluctuations in performance baselines as well as sheer scope and growth of the SQL Server footprint under our administration.
